Difficult-to-machine materials -- our specialty -- make ideal candidates for the Wire-EDM process. Extremely complex contours can be cut to close tolerances, regardless of the hardness or toughness of the material, without exerting distortion-causing forces on the workpiece. Since Wire-EDM is generally performed after heat treatment, this source of distortion is all but eliminated as well. Furthermore, special tooling is often unnecessary, and in many applications parts can be stacked, making Wire-EDM the best -- and most economical -- machining option.
